There’s compelling evidence that, despite pressure to measure the impact of their work, many L&D professionals have yet to incorporate ROI metrics into their programs. We wanted to understand why. This survey, conducted by Bellevue University’s Human Capital Lab and BetterWork Media Group, received more than 400 responses from professionals across industries. We identified four distinct groups. Each approaches measurement and plans to measure differently; Those who do not measure and have no intention of measuring; Those who do not measure but plan to implement measurement; Those who measure on a program level; and Those who measure learning outcomes department-wide.
